Manglisi with kids: a day to remember
There is one simple rule of family travel: when the kids are happy, everyone is happy. That is exactly why Manglisi works better than many resorts near Tbilisi.
Morning: breakfast and the swing
While you make coffee in the fully equipped kitchen, the child is already running around the yard. The swing and the sandbox with toys are right on the property, behind a safe fence.
A walk in the pine grove
The central pine grove is 100 metres away. Here you can:
- Collect pinecones — kids always love this.
- Look for animal tracks: squirrels, woodpeckers, sometimes a hare.
- Have a picnic on a glade.
- Breathe healing air.
Lunch: barbecue in the yard
The grill is already there. Kids help "cook" — both a game and a ritual.
After lunch: nap time and adventure
- A walk to Sioni Cathedral (10 minutes from the cottage).
- Fishing on the Algeti.
- A walk towards Algeti National Park.
Evening: board games and stars
In Manglisi happens what Tbilisi cannot offer: real starry skies. The Milky Way is visible to the naked eye.
What to bring
- Warm clothes.
- Comfortable shoes.
- Favourite toys.
- First-aid kit.
- A book or colouring set.
The price of parental peace of mind
The main thing Manglisi gives families with kids is freedom. The yard is closed, no roads nearby.
